US Bank expands AI insights in its mobile app

Through its latest app upgrade, U.S. Bank is folding capabilities typical of third-party personal nance apps into its mobile experience, including spending trends and automated nancial advice capabilities it’s calling Insights. Insights is based on technology developed by conversational AI company Personetics.

RBC focuses on digital products as mobile adoption spikes

“Active mobile users have increased 17% from 3.7 million to 4.3 million since the same time last year. Total mobile sessions at RBC have increased 26% year-over-year from about 56 million to almost 71 million this quarter, and active digital users have increased 8% from about 6.6 million to 7.1 million. A good case could be how AI and predictive analytics were used by UK-based Metro Bank to help customers manage their finances. Working in partnership with Personetics, the bank launched an in-app service called Insights, which monitored customers’ transaction data and patterns in real time.
